Wildacres Retreat
Located on the top of a mountain in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Wildacres Retreat is a true retreat undisturbed by traffic or noises of the city. The 1,600 acres are adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway and thousands of acres of the Pisgah National Forest. The conference center facilities are modern yet rustic and provide a very comfortable setting for the programs offered.
Every June since 1977 the West Coast Chapter has held a 5 day workshop intensive at this beautiful facility. Jewelry enthusiasts are offered an affordable opportunity to learn a variety of jewelry making skills and applications from masters in their various crafts.
Guests stay in two lodges, which supply 57 bedrooms in all. Each room has a private bathroom and accommodates two guests. There are no televisions or telephones in the rooms. Three family style meals are served each day in the dining room.
Wildacres Retreat has a 200-seat amphitheater, finished in 2003, providing a beautiful spot for meetings, gatherings, and campfires. The patio, located between the lodges, is an excellent location for group meetings and social functions. Both of these outdoor spaces have a lovely view of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
The intimate setting of Wildacres creates an atmosphere of camaraderie with like-minded jewelry makers. The skills, friendships and memories made on the mountain are those you'll treasure for a lifetime.
