The Art Of The Finish
Stacy Perry

The finish on a piece of jewelry can make all the difference between breathtaking and so-so. But how do you achieve that professional look? What exactly is “finishing”? When do I use my flex shaft? When is a buffer better? Why can’t I tumble polish everything? If you never went to finishing school, now is your chance!
In this one-day workshop, learn the steps of metal finishing and surface textures such as mirror polish, satin, tumbled, texture brushed, solder removal and more. Discover ways to get different finishes using the flex-shaft, tumbler, buffer or by hand. Learn the different buffs, polishing compounds, abrasives, brushes, tricks and techniques to achieve your perfect finish!
This hands-on class is a bit messy! Please bring an apron or old clothing (but no loose sleeves please) along with safety glasses and optical magnifiers if needed.
All skill levels welcome.
