TEXTURE AND FORM: GIVING 'LIFE' TO METAL SURFACES
HAROLD O'CONNOR

PLEASE NOTE: Per the instructor's request, this class is for the intermediate/advanced metalsmith only! Absolutely NO beginners.
Learn to add 'life' to metal surfaces through textures and plating techniques with master metalsmith Harold O'Conner! During this class you will make Bi-metal sheet; laminating gold to silver and copper to silver.
Explore reticulation - more than a method to "wrinkle" metal surfaces as a texturing technique, Harold will show you how to control and manipulate the process and roller-printing/embossing using a rolling mill.
We will also cover the basics of the ancient process of granulation in silver and gold. Throughout this class efficient studio practices are taught and bench tips from Harold's years of experience are shared.
