BASIC MICRO FORMING
Andrea Kennington & NC Black Co.

Andrea Kennington has spent the past 17 years developing and perfecting specialized tools for micro forming and metalsmithing, allowing you to use thinner gauges of metals than traditionally used. These tools are available from her company, NC Black Co. Micro Shell Forming techniques taught by Andrea use less material and save you money!
In this workshop you will learn to use thinner gauge materials yet create voluminous and structurally sound forms using half the typical amount of metal in a micro-sized jewelry format! Using Andrea's Micro Shell Forming and other specialized tools, students will learn the basics of this technique.
Incredibly small forming on the micro scale is now possible with the NC BLACK series of Micro Synclastic and Anticlastic Shell Forming Hammers. Andrea will have you creating small, delicate forms with ease.
Students will participate in multiple exercises during this workshop and are sure to master micro shell forming and some macro sized pieces as well.
