Welcome to the West Coast Chapter of the Florida Society of Goldsmiths

What We Do: The Florida Society of Goldsmiths (FSG) is a not-for-profit organization created by metalsmiths to aid and support other metalsmiths through meetings, publicity, workshops and exhibitions; to provide metalsmiths with opportunities for education and exchange of information; to broaden public knowledge, awareness, and appreciation of fine quality hand-crafted metal work, including, but not limited to, jewelry. The Florida Society of Goldsmiths is open to all. We welcome artists that work in all metals as well as other jewelry artists using other mediums. We strive to offer a friendly environment where creativity is encouraged and supported through social and educational events throughout the US.

Who We  Are:  We are the West Coast Chapter of FSG (WCFSG), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are metalsmiths and membership includes anyone interested in the metal jewelry arts. WCFSG was formed in 1984 to provide metalsmiths with opportunities for education and as a conduit for sharing knowledge, supply, technical and research sources. WCFSG's directive is to broaden public awareness and appreciation of handcrafted jewelry and metalwork.

We currently sponsor three beautiful jewelry studios here in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. The Morean Arts Center, ArtCenter Manatee and the Dunedin Fine Art Center. Through our partnership with these organizations, we provide tooling and equipment, studio design consultation and stewardship of the jewelry arts program. Jewelry makers and metalsmiths of all skill levels enjoy learning and teaching in the safe, supportive environments of the state-of-the-art studios we help to maintain.

We invite you to drop by any of our partner studios and say, "Hello!".
